ENLIGHTEN
A laser treatment to lighten and eliminate pigmentation.
Immediately after treatment (first few hours):
Treated areas may look pink or red and can feel warm — similar to a mild sunburn.
Mild swelling or puffiness may appear, especially around delicate areas like the cheeks or under the eyes.
If pigmented spots were treated, they may darken and look more pronounced.
Days 1–3:
Redness and swelling typically subside gradually.
Pigmented spots or freckles may darken to a coffee ground–like appearance or develop a fine crust — this is a normal part of the pigment rising to the surface before flaking away.
The treated area might feel dry or slightly rough to the touch.
Days 3–7:
Darkened pigment or tiny crusts will usually begin to flake or shed naturally.
Redness should fade, and skin tone may start to look clearer and more even.
Avoid picking, scratching, or rubbing the area to prevent irritation or hyperpigmentation.
Weeks 2–4:
Continued fading of redness and pigmentation.
The skin will appear brighter, smoother, and more uniform in tone.
Some vascular lesions may blanch and disappear immediately; others may fade gradually over this period.
