IF YOU CUSTOMIZED WITH DERMAPLANING:

• Avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen daily.

• Do not use retinoids or exfoliating agents for 3 days.

• Stay hydrated and moisturize skin well.

• Avoid touching or rubbing your face.

IF YOU CUSTOMIZED WITH A PEEL:

  • Your skin may feel tight, dry, or lightly flake or peel over the next few days — this is normal.

  • Don’t pick, peel, or scrub your skin; let it shed naturally to avoid irritation or discoloration.

  • Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily, even indoors or on cloudy days.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunbathing for at least a week.

  • Avoid retinoids, scrubs, exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA), and other active treatments until your provider says it’s safe (usually about 3–5 days).

  • Use only gentle, non-irritating products

  • Cleanse with a mild, sulfate-free cleanser for the next few days.

  • Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer as often as needed to keep your skin hydrated.

COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

Q: Will I break out after a facial?

A: Sometimes! Facials stimulate the skin and purge impurities, so some clients may experience mild breakouts as the skin detoxifies. This is normal and temporary.

Q: Can I wear makeup after a facial?

A: It’s best to wait at least 24 hours to allow your pores to remain clear and open. If necessary, use mineral makeup.

Q: How often should I get a facial?

A: Every 4–6 weeks is ideal for maintaining skin health, but it can vary depending on your skin type and goals.

Q: What should I do if my skin feels sensitive after a facial?

A: Use a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid actives (retinol, acids). Contact your provider if sensitivity persists or worsens.

Q: Will my skin be red after a facial?

A: Mild redness is normal, especially if extractions were done. It typically subsides within a few hours.
