MACRO VEIN
MACRO VEIN
Laser technology to erase visable vascular facial and body veins.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Immediately after treatment (first few hours):
The treated veins may look darker, bluish, purplish, or grey — this is normal and temporary as the veins collapse and your body begins to reabsorb them.
You might notice mild redness, warmth, or swelling in the treated area, which usually improves within a few hours to a day.
The area may feel slightly sensitive or bruised.
Days 1–3:
Redness and swelling typically lessen each day.
The veins may still look darker or more visible before they gradually fade.
Bruising or tenderness is common, especially if larger veins were treated or if the area was more sensitive.
Days 3–7:
Bruising usually begins to lighten and resolve.
The treated veins will start to fade as your body processes them, and the skin will look clearer and more even over time.
The treated area may still feel slightly firm or mildly tender.
Weeks 2–4:
Continued fading of treated veins and further improvement in skin appearance.
Depending on vein size and depth, some veins may fade more slowly or may need an additional treatment for optimal results.
AFTERCARE:
Avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area for at least 1–2 weeks.
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily, even on cloudy days or indoors near windows.
Do not rub, scratch, or massage the treated veins.
Cleanse the area gently with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser.
Moisturize with a gentle lotion or cream recommended by your provider.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and intense exercise.
Keep the treated area cool to help reduce redness and swelling.
Avoid exfoliants, retinoids, acids (AHA/BHA), and other active skincare products on the treated area for about 3–5 days or until your provider says it’s safe.
For larger leg veins, your provider may recommend wearing compression stockings for a few days to support circulation and healing.
COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
Q: What will the treated veins look like right after the treatment?
A: It’s normal for the treated veins to appear darker, bluish, purple, or even grey immediately after treatment. This happens as the veins collapse and your body starts to reabsorb them.
Q: How long will redness or swelling last?
A: Mild redness, warmth, and slight swelling can appear after treatment and typically subside within a few hours to a couple of days. Bruising may last up to 1–2 weeks, depending on vein size and your skin’s sensitivity.
Q: How soon will I see results?
A: You may notice some improvement within a few weeks, but the full fading of veins can take up to 4–6 weeks as your body naturally clears them.
Q: Will I need more than one treatment?
A: Some larger or deeper veins may need multiple sessions for the best results. Your provider will recommend a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.
Q: Is there downtime after treatment?
A: Downtime is minimal. Most people return to normal activities the same day. However, it’s best to avoid hot showers, strenuous exercise, and sun exposure for the first 24–48 hours.
Q: Do I need to wear compression stockings?
A: For larger leg veins, your provider may recommend wearing compression stockings for a few days to help with circulation and healing.
Q: Will the treated veins come back?
A: The specific veins treated won’t return, but new veins may develop over time due to genetics, lifestyle, or other factors. Periodic maintenance treatments can help keep your skin clear.
